Awesome Digital Science Activities

I am always looking for interesting activities online for 4th graders that gets students reading and not just clicking past all the reading to get to the game.

In class I have used the following activity with a lot of success.  It involves a lot of modeling at the start, but the style of learning can be used throughout the year.  It is self-directed learning at its best.

First, I present some basic concept to the class.  I try to use a reading activity with the science vocabulary I am teaching.






I talk to the students about dragonflies and the battling world around us.

Just because a student is using a computer, does not mean that activity is worthwhile.  Here is a good link for interactive resource.  I will be going through these and making activities for them.
